Cheers to the Unvaccinated
"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialist.

"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak for me."
This famous quote from German pastor, Martin Niemöller, which is now displayed at the United States Holocaust museum, describes the sentiment that people all over the world should feel right now.
Six years ago, in early to mid 2020, the world froze as a virus spread across the planet, placing fear in many who so much as heard a cough or a sneeze.
Jokesters would shout, "Covid-19," whenever they heard a cough.
Masks were more than just an accessory to an outfit. They were a requirement for anyone who wanted to be in public.
Those who refused the jab were criticized, and told that they were not doing their part.
Family disputes began to grow as their loved ones criticized the unmasked and unvaxxed for not doing their part to slow the spread.
Pressure from the media, sports figures, celebrities, and even some well-known faith and religious leaders increased as the public criticism of those who decided it was not for them not only grew, but multiplied daily.
Individuals were forced to watch their loved ones die through glass windows, and even now, family relationships are being strained as adult children are forced into caring for their parents at earlier ages than expected because of vaccine-related injuries.
There was a time, when I was younger, that peer pressure was frowned upon. In 2020, if you were not coerced into the peer pressure, you were ostracized and outcast.
To walk into a store without a mask was like walking into a room naked. You could feel the eyes of everyone around you glaring a hole right through you.
One group of people would spit nasty words, doing their best to condemn you for your choice, and another group would quietly say "thank you" for not wearing the face diaper.
The contrast was so unbelievable that you could make a documentary about your trip to the local grocery store. You could write chapters of the negative comments from those without the fortitude to endure.
Life was very difficult for those who had made the decision not to succumb to arguably one of the strongest periods of coerced herd mentality in our lifetime.
Approximately 6 years after the entire world shut down to "slow the spread," many are only now beginning to recover from the effects of their business's shutting down and their entire lives being disrupted.
Those who stood against the illegal mandates are being vindicated for their stand, reinstated to their jobs, and winning their lawsuits.
If you were one of the many individuals across the globe who said no to closing your business, refusing the mask and rejecting the vaccine, to you I say, "Well done!"
You will go down in history as one who said no to tyranny, who stood up to corruption, and one who had the courage to stand up for what you believe in.
You are the true heroes of the 21st century!
Where does that leave those who said yes to the propaganda and the lies that skipping the vaccine would increase their risk of getting infected?
I know my words are strong. That is intentional. Not to condemn, but to make a point.
Too many people have slipped into the "herd mentality" that I mentioned earlier. We think that someone else will stand up for us. Ultimately, there is only one that has ever been willing to stand. He was the "propitiation" for our sins. His name is Jesus.
I use strong words to prick your heart. Not to condemn you if you wore a mask or took a vaccine. I use strong words to encourage you to take a stand!
Maybe refusing a mask or a vaccine was not the hill you were willing to die on, or maybe you weren't convinced that the propaganda was real or the vaccine was potentially deadly. That's ok.
If there is anything I have learned this decade, it's that eventually, they will come for you.
Protesting an election.
Refusing to wear a mask.
Passing on a vaccine.
This is only the beginning if no one will stand.
Have we learned our lesson in 2026?
I would say that some have, but most haven't. We continue to look to church leaders, politicians, and celebrities to find our way. Instead of looking to the King of Kings for direction, we seek approval from the biggest following and the most popular preacher.
I think that one of the reasons Jesus was not very popular in the religious circles is because he was all about disrupting the societal norms. He was about teaching others that they had the same on the inside as he had. (John 14:12 - Look it up)
I believe that there is a time and a place to follow those who lead, but as a whole, we were created to do more than follow. We were designed for greatness. Greatness does not follow. It leads.
Don't feel condemned if these words convicted you. Feel emboldened!
The Bible says in Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
Be bold, be strong, be courageous for whatever is thrown at you, and when you stand, there will be books written about you.
History favors the bold!
Cheers to the unvaccinated for being bold and for standing for those who did not.
